Are You Born Again?
Steps to Salvation

ARE YOU GOING TO HEAVEN?

1. Every person must be born again to know God and have everlasting life. *John 3:3 (John 3:16)

2. The reason we must be born again is found in *Rom. 3:23.

3. "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Rom. 6:23)

a. You cannot earn salvation. You cannot do it on your own.

b. It is God's gift to you. (Eph. 2:8,9)

4. Being saved or born again is receiving Jesus as your Lord (Master), committing yourself to follow His Word (the Bible), and believing that God raised Jesus from the dead. *Rom. 10:9,10 (1 John 2:3)

5. Are you ready to make this life-changing commitment?

6. Pray according to Rom. 10:9,10

"God, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. I ask You to come into my life. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is my Lord and I believe in my heart that You have raised Him from the dead. I turn my back on sin and I commit to follow You for the rest of my life. I thank You, Father, for saving me!"

7. You are now born again, forgiven and on your way to heaven. You are a new creation (2 Cor. 5:17). Yet this is only the beginning. You need to renew your mind to live a powerful life as a believer. *Rom. 12:1,2

a. You need to read the Bible regularly in order to grow. (Rom. 10:17)

b. Getting together with believers on a regular basis is also important. (Heb. 10:25)

8. If doubts or fears come to mind about salvation, reject them and realize that the Bible is what your salvation is based on, not what you think or feel. (Rom. 10:9,10)

9. You will need to be baptized in water as a believer. (Acts 10:48)

10. God has also given us the gift of the Holy Spirit. You need this gift to live the Christian life God wants you to live. Let's look at *John 14:26.

Steps To Recommitment

1. Have you been born again? (Rom. 10:9,10)

2. God promises His forgiveness if you confess/admit your sin. *1 John 1:9.

3. Confess their sins silently to God and have them say Amen when they're done doing that. You then pray for them, thanking God for forgiving them according to 1 John 1:9.

4. You need to be trained in the Bible in order to grow. *Rom. 12:1,2.

5. Have you been filled with the Holy Spirit? If not, teach and pray with them. If they are filled, share *Jude 20 and pray with them for a short time.

Steps To Being Filled With The HolyGhost

1. Have you been born again? (Rom. 10:9,10)

2. Let's look at Who the Holy Spirit is:

a. He is your Comforter and Teacher. He wants to help you. *John 14:26

b. He gives you power to be a strong witness for Jesus. *Acts 1:8

3. What happens when you are filled with the Holy Spirit? You can speak in other tongues. *Acts 2:4

4. The Holy Spirit is already here for every born again person. You don't need to wait or work to receive Him. (Acts 2:38,39)

5. Your mind will not understand or gain anything from tongues. It will sound useless and foolish to the natural mind. You are speaking mysteries to God, not to yourself or other people. *1 Cor. 14:2

6. Speaking in tongues is an act of your will. God gives you the ability to do it but will not force you or do it for you. *1 Cor. 14:14,15

7. If you ask for the Holy Spirit in faith, the Father will give Him to you. *Luke 11:13

8. Would you like to receive the Holy Spirit today?

9. Pray according to Luke 11:13 , ask God to fill you with the Holy Spirit.

" Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. I ask You to fill me with Your Holy Spirit. I receive Him from You and according to the Bible I can now pray in other tongues. "

10. Praying in tongues regularly will build or charge up your spirit man. *Jude 20

11. You need to renew your mind according to the Bible to live a powerful life as a believer. (Rom. 12:1,2)

12. You need to be baptized in water if you haven 't been. (Acts 10:48)

"For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that he [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life."

"For if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
10 "For with the heart a person believes(adheres to trusts in , and relies on Christ)and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his]salvation." Rom. 10:9,10

"And this is how we may discern [daily, by experience] that we are coming to know Him [to perceive, recognize, understand, and become better acquainted with Him]: if we keep (bear in mind, observe, practice) His teachings (precepts, commandments)."
1 John 2:3

"Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature all together); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!" 2 Cor. 5:17

"I appeal to your therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is tour reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship."

2 "Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good an acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]." "So faith comes by hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the preaching [of the message that came from the lips] of Christ (the Messiah Himself)." Rom. 10:17

"Not forsaking or neglecting to assemble together [as believers], as is the habit of some people, but admonishing (warning, urging, and encouraging) one another, and all the more faithfully as you see the day approaching." Heb. 10:25

"But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you." John 14:26

"If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just (true to His own nature and promises) and will forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action]." 1 John 1:9

"But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on tour most holy faith [make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit;" Jude 20

"But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth." Acts 1:8

15 "Then what am I to do? I will pray with my spirit [by the Holy Spirit that is within me], but I will also pray [intelligently] with my mind and understanding; I will sing with my spirit [by the Holy Spirit that is within me], but I will sing [intelligently] with my mind and understanding also." 1 Cor. 14:14,15

"If you then, evil as you are, know how to give good gifts [gifts that are to their advantage to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask and continue to ask Him." Luke 11:13
